Bridge To College Program “STACK”

Assists students with career exploration and planning, fills in any critical skills that students may have missed in their standard curriculum, and teaches skills that will guarantee success both in college and after college.

Also teaches students to use the "skills language" to successfully talk about the skills they possess on their resume, in college interviews, and on job applications.

Description

Bridge to College Program “STACK”

Series of three Skills Academy modules, each of which includes a full semester (15 weeks) of live courses with Business and Higher Education Experts. Students will go through a process of learning more about their personalities and preferred working styles, their vocational interests, and their career goals to help them narrow their focus on an academic major and subsequent career path. They will learn and practice the must-have skills to be successful both in college and after college, and they will prepare for college interviews (as needed).

Students will also learn the "skills language." This will help them to understand what skills they are learning in each of their college courses, how those skills will be applicable in their careers, and how to optimize their resumes with the knowledge they are acquiring. This is a critical step for preparing students to stand out to employers and to advance in their careers faster.

Who it is for:

Specifically designed for high school students or recent high school graduates who plan to enroll in a college or university.
